Safe at Sea

As the ferry heads to sea this night,

The memories are clear as day.

That trip I took from Rhodes to Athens by boat

20 hr ride seemed like an eternity or glimpse thereof.

Finding a corner of the upper deck, I began to read a story about a spiritual seeker.  Walled in a cave until he

Found his inner enlightenment, so akin to my journey then

All those years traveling made me much more comfortable in transit that stationary. Boats, airports, trains felt like my home. Speaking to the captains then, realizing a kindred soul feeling centered in movement. Tonight as I head to my island home, I feel a gratitude for the experiences that made me feel safe at sea when not anchored.

I am out and about in San Diego, creating networks of good hearted people, exciting places, discovering fine foods and music and adopting projects!
